Nov. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Applied Materials Inc., the largest producer of chipmaking equipment, fell the most in 2 1/2 years after forecasting first-quarter sales and profit that trailed analysts’ predictions, a sign that semiconductor makers are scaling back expansion plans.

Silicon Valley Job Fair For People Who Want Jobs In India
This weekend, Silicon Valley's premier convention venue is hosting a job fair -- for people who want to work in India:
A job fair at the San Jose Convention Center this weekend is focused on helping companies recruit Indian workers who may in the U.S. on a visa by informing them about the professional and economic opportunities back home.
Organizers also stressed that the job fair is also open to anyone who is interested in working in India.
Among the companies involved in the job fair are: Flipkart, an Indian online shopping company; consulting firm Accenture; and Amazon.com, which runs development centers in Indian cities.
Others include: McAfee, which is now part of Intel; SmartPlay Technologies, an Indian semiconductor firm; InfoTech Enterprises, an Indian engineering design firm; Indian manufacturing firm Jindal Steel & Power; Tata Motors; San Jose-based Synapse Design; and UST Global, an IT services firm.

You seem to be under the impresion that the powder was just powder that by a fluke accident merged with the pheru and the flood was made, however it is much more likely that it was a trap laid buy flood from another galaxy. The flood are known to be hyper intelligent, so they devoleped pre-flood powder that was designed to infect the host down a path they developed. So tell me, which sounds more likely, that some how out of know where magical powder comes and transforms pheru into the flood, or that the powder was designed by flood to transform other species into their own.

Bechdel's Fun Home To Be A Musical
"Fun Home," Alison Bechdel's brilliant graphic novel memoir (review here) is being adapted for musical theater:
“My father and I grew up in the same small Pennsylvania town and he was gay and I was gay and he killed himself and I became a lesbian cartoonist,” Bechdel's character says in Fun Home.
Kron is a founding member of the theater company Five Lesbian Brothers and an Obie Award winning playwright for her autobiographical play 2.5 Minute Ride.
Tony nominated composer Tesori won the 1999 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a play with her compositions for Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center and she also picked up the Obie Award for the score for 1997’s off-Broadway show Violet as well as composing 11 new songs for a production of Thouroughly Modern Millie that transferred to Broadway in 2002.

Im just speculating, but hear me out. In Halo Legends it said that before the forerunners fired the rings and wiped out all life in the galaxy, they stored DNA and live specimans of all living things (or most of them). If they went out of their way to aquire the DNA of wild animals and various creatures, it would be relativily easy for them to store DNA of themselves. If they did, they may have already repopulated various instillations and forerunner planets. Once again im just speculating, but it would be nice to see forerunners in Halo 4 (just my opinion).

In the words of environmentalist Bill McKibben, Keystone XL represents "a decision point about whether, now that we’re running out of the easy stuff, we’re going to go after the hard stuff."
After more than a century of fueling civilization with fossils, the easy oil -- those places where dead plankton and algae accumulated for millions of years in prehistoric seas, were entombed at just the right pressure and temperature for millions more, then arrived after the tectonic upheavals of multiple geological ages in spots easily accessible by big metal pipes -- is gone. What remains are places like Alberta's tar sands.
"Until five or six years ago, nobody knew tar sands were different than conventional oil drilling," said Grant. "There's been a shift in public engagement and public concern. There are policies indicating that the world is shifting away from higher-carbon oil towards a cleaner-energy economy. There's reason to be hopeful."
