Kari Schuster constructed a "pizza" out of pizza-flavored snack-foods harvested from gas-stations and grocery stores. The process stained her fingers orange and clogged her nostrils with the "gentle aroma of fake cheese and tomato." She claims it was delicious.

It occurred to me that up until now I had been limiting myself to pizza only in its natural state. It was obvious what I had to do next — find as many pizza-flavored items as I could and turn them into a pizza.[Editor's note: Sweet Jesus.]

My experience of kolaches, the crazy delicious doughnut-like pastries brought to the central US by Slavic immigrants, is limited to a couple of places in Fredericksburg, TX. But there doesn't appear to be a single thing wrong with Kolache Kitchen in Oklahoma City, which Erin Meister of Serious Eats recently visited. Meister accurately points out that the genius of the kolache is its bready base, which approximates that of a dinner roll. What gets slathered on top or baked into the middle can be either sweet or savory -- Meister likes Kolache Kitchen's apricot/sweet cheese, cinnamon/apple and poppy seed versions, because what person in their right mind wouldn't. The result, especially when consumed fresh from the oven after a long day's drive, can be life-changing. Kolache Kitchen also serves lunch, apparently, but you have to wonder why. Comic Book Legal Defense Fund's Kickstarter project to make a Transmetropolitan art book

As the tenth anniversary of Transmetropolitan's final issue draws near, the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has embarked on a Kickstarter project to create a limited edition hardcover featuring new illustrations from a superstar list of comics artists. The book will be used as a fundraising premium for CBLDF, which defends the free speech rights of comics creators, publishers and retailers. Artists who've been tapped for the project include:
